Peripheral Impeller pump range

Pedrollo peripheral impeller pumps deliver reliable, high-pressure performance in a compact, energy-efficient package — making them the preferred choice for domestic water supply, pressure boosting, and irrigation applications where consistent head is required at low to moderate flow rates.

Why Peripheral Impeller Technology Outperforms Standard Centrifugal Designs

A peripheral (regenerative) impeller generates pressure through repeated fluid recirculation along a helical flow path around the impeller's outer channel, rather than a single-pass throw.
This allows peripheral pumps to develop significantly higher heads at low flows than comparably sized shrouded or open centrifugal impellers.
The result is a self-priming-capable pump with a steep H-Q curve, minimal shaft seal wear at low flow, and stable pressure output — without the bulk of a multi-stage centrifugal unit.
For applications demanding high head from small pipework or variable demand points, peripheral impeller technology is the practical, cost-effective solution.

Pedrollo Peripheral Pump Range: PK, PKS, PQ, PV, PQA, and CKR Series

Pedrollo offers a comprehensive selection of peripheral impeller pumps to suit a broad range of pressures, flow requirements, and installation conditions.
The PK and PKS series are compact single-phase units ideal for household water supply and garden irrigation, with the PKS adding a self-priming advantage.
The PQ series delivers higher capacity outputs for more demanding domestic and light commercial boosting duties.
The PV series is a multi-stage peripheral pump suited to elevated head requirements in a slimline form.
The PQA series incorporates an integrated pressure switch and tank for fully automatic operation.
The CKR series rounds out the range with close-coupled, multi-stage peripheral pump performance designed for Diesel and Pariffin fuel transfer applications.Their specific operating mechanism makes them an excellent solution when the flow of the liquid is irregular or mixed with air.

With dedicated distribution offices in Durban, Johannesburg, and Cape Town, IPDI ensures localised technical support, reliable stock availability, and prompt delivery across the country — giving contractors, engineers, and end users confident access to the full Pedrollo peripheral pump range wherever their project is located.

Pedrollo PK — compact peripheral pump for domestic water supply

The Pedrollo PK is a single-stage, single-phase peripheral pump engineered for household water supply, garden irrigation, and small pressure-boosting applications. Its peripheral impeller delivers a high-head, low-flow performance curve — providing consistent pressure at modest delivery rates.

Compact in footprint, quiet in operation, and straightforward to install, the PK is the entry-level Pedrollo peripheral solution trusted by homeowners and plumbers alike.

Pedrollo PKS — self-priming peripheral pump for suction-lift installations

The Pedrollo PKS shares the PK’s compact peripheral impeller design but adds a critical self-priming capability, making it the preferred choice when the pump sits above the water source or in suction-lift conditions.

Ideal for drawing from tanks, cisterns, or shallow wells, the PKS reduces dependence on foot valves in many installations.

Its robust, self-contained priming chamber ensures a reliable self-priming start-up.

Pedrollo PQ — higher-capacity peripheral pump for demanding light commercial duties

The Pedrollo PQ extends peripheral impeller performance to higher flow rates, addressing the demands of larger domestic properties, light commercial premises, and multi-outlet pressure boosting systems.

Where the PK and PKS are optimized for low-flow, high-head duties, the PQ broadens the operating envelope to serve higher-consumption points without sacrificing the efficiency and compactness characteristic of Pedrollo’s peripheral pump range.

This compact design is ideal for OEM washing machine type installations.

Pedrollo PV — peripheral pump for elevated head requirements

The Pedrollo PV is a peripheral pump designed for applications demanding high pressure from a compact unit — including elevated storage tanks, high-rise water supply systems, and small industrial cooling and air conditioning systems.

The brass pump, with the wetted end and the unique inlet and outlet orientation on the same plane, enables installation in multiple configurations by rotating the head. (See more in the PDF)

Pedrollo PQA – PPS With Brass Peripheral Impeller Pump

The PQA electric pumps are designed to transfer clean water free from abrasive particles and
non-corrosive liquids that do not harm the pump’s
components.

Made from PPS with a brass impeller and front cover, ensuring protection against rust and oxidation, they are suited for various industrial applications, such as cooling, air conditioning, and ironing industrial systems.

Pedrollo Self-Priming Jet Pumps – JSW and JCR series.

Pedrollo’s self-priming jet pump range combines a centrifugal pump body with an integrated jet ejector assembly to deliver reliable suction-lift performance from a single, compact unit.
The JSW and JCR series are the most widely specified Pedrollo jet pumps in South Africa, covering domestic water supply, borehole and well abstraction, rainwater harvesting, and pressure boosting duties where the pump must prime itself against a suction head.

Pedrollo JCR self-priming jet pump — heavy-duty surface-mounted well abstraction pump

The Pedrollo JCR is a heavy-duty, self-priming centrifugal jet pump built for more demanding suction-lift and abstraction applications, including well points and irrigation from dams and rivers, as well as larger residential or light commercial pressure systems.

The JCR’s stainless steel pump body and robust mechanical seal assembly are rated for continuous-duty operation,

Pedrollo CKR Self-priming, liquid Ring Pump for handling ENTRAINED AIR

The Pedrollo CK and CKR Self-Priming Pumps are designed for pumping diesel/naphtha and clean
water free from abrasive particles and non-corrosive liquids that do not harm the pump’s components.

Their specific operating mechanism makes them an excellent solution when a compact self-priming pump is required, or when the liquid flow is irregular or contains entrapped air.

The Pedrollo CK and CKR pump is widely used in Africa to transfer diesel or paraffin for boiler fuel service.

The special design radial impeller is similar to the peripheral impeller, yet completely different and has huge air handling advantages over the standard peripheral impeller design.

Pedrollo JSW self-priming jet pump — reliable domestic water supply from below-ground tanks or wellpoints and rivers/dams.

The Pedrollo JSW self-priming pump series is available in 220-volt single-phase and 400-volt three-phase.

Designed for residential water supply, garden irrigation, pressure boosting, and the transfer of clean water from below-ground tanks and shallow open wells.

The integrated venturi creates the vacuum necessary for self-priming, allowing the JSW to draw water from suction lifts of up to 8 meters without requiring a foot valve or manual priming in most installations.

Pedrollo centrifugal pumps with threaded ports — CP, HF, and NGA series

Pedrollo’s threaded-port centrifugal pump range spans three distinct series — the CP, HF, and NGA — each engineered for a specific combination of flow rate, head, application type, and liquid condition.

All three share a cast-iron pump body with ISO 228/1-threaded ports, a stainless-steel motor shaft, and mechanical seal construction, but differ meaningfully in impeller design, port sizing, kW range, and duty profile.

Understanding these differences is essential to correct pump selection.

Pedrollo CP centrifugal pump — closed impeller, high head, civil and agricultural water supply.

The Pedrollo CP is a single-stage centrifugal pump with a closed stainless steel AISI 304 impeller (brass on select models), designed for the transfer of clean water in domestic, civil, agricultural, and light industrial applications.

Its closed-impeller geometry produces a steep, high-head performance curve that distinguishes it from the HF series — making the CP the correct selection where elevated head is required alongside moderate flow, such as pressure boosting, irrigation distribution, water supply to multi-story buildings, and cooling or air-conditioning circuits.

The CP range spans two sub-groups: the smaller-body CP (0.25–2.2 kW) with 1″ ports on CPm100–CP158 stepping up to 1¼” inlet on CP170–CP200, delivering up to 160 l/min and heads to 56 m.

The larger-body CP (1.1–11 kW) — models CP160 through CP250 — with progressively larger ports and flow capacities up to 900 l/min at heads up to 76 m.

Three-phase motors from 2,2 kW upward operate at 400/690 V. All CP series motors meet IE3 efficiency class (three-phase) and IE2 (single-phase), with class F insulation and inverter compatibility throughout.

Pedrollo HF centrifugal pump — high flow rate, low-to-medium head, irrigation and bulk fluid transfer

The Pedrollo HF is a high-flow, low-to-medium head centrifugal pump built specifically for applications where large volumes of water must be moved efficiently at moderate pressure.

The HF series excels in flood and spray irrigation, drawing water from tanks, filling large-volume tanker trailers, and circulating industrial cooling water.

Its flat, high-flow curve and large-bore threaded ports make it the natural choice for high-delivery, short-distance pumping duties at economical capital cost.

Port sizing scales with the model: the HF4 (0.75 kW) uses 2½” inlet and outlet ports; HF6 models (1.1–2.2 kW) step up to 3″ ports; and the larger HF8, HF20, and HF30 models use 4″ ports to accommodate flows from 800 l/min up to 2,200 l/min. Impellers are brass across most of the range, with cast iron used on the HF30 for added durability at maximum flow rates.

Single-phase variants (HFm4, HFm6C, HFm6B) cover domestic and light-commercial high-flow duties; three-phase models extend the range to full agricultural and industrial scale.

Pedrollo NGA centrifugal pump with open impeller — dirty water transfer, river and channel water abstraction, washdown

The defining feature of the Pedrollo NGA is its open stainless steel AISI 316 impeller — a fundamentally different hydraulic design from the closed impellers used in both the CP and HF series.

The NGA’s open impeller allows mildly impurity-laden liquids to pass freely through the pump casing, handling suspended solids up to 12 mm in diameter on the NGA1 and NGA2 models, and up to 20 mm on the larger NGA3 model.

This makes the NGA the correct choice for river and channel abstraction, agricultural runoff transfer, dam and reservoir pumping, washdown systems, and any application where the liquid is not entirely clean.

The NGA range spans 0.55 to 2.2 kW across three frame sizes.

NGA1 and NGA2 share a 1½” inlet and outlet port with a maximum working pressure of 6 bar.

NGA3 uses 2″ ports and is rated to 10 bar, accommodating the higher flow and head demands of larger agricultural or light industrial installations.

Only the NGA 1 variant is currently available in single-phase and three-phase from IPDI, with stock and support across Durban, Johannesburg, and Cape Town.

Pedrollo multistage and twin-impeller centrifugal pumps — 2–4CP, 2–5CR, and 2CP series

Pedrollo’s multistage and twin-impeller surface-mounted pump range offers three technically distinct product families — the cast-iron 2–4CP, the full stainless-steel 2–5CR, and the larger twin-impeller 2CP — each engineered to address different combinations of head requirements, flow capacity, material specifications, and duty scale.

All three use threaded ISO 228/1 ports, but differ significantly in body material, port sizing, power range, and performance capabilities.

Correct selection depends on matching these parameters to the application.

Pedrollo 2CP twin-impeller centrifugal pump — high-head, high-flow pressure boosting for civil, industrial, and firefighting applications

The Pedrollo 2CP is a twin-impeller centrifugal pump with flows up to 450 l/min (27 m³/h), heads up to 112 m, and motor ratings from 1.1 kW up to 7.5 kW.

The 2CP is the appropriate selection for commercial and light industrial pressure boosting, network pressure maintenance, multi-story building water supply, autoclave pressure systems, and firefighting units that require certified high-pressure output.

The 2CP range is organized into three body/port subgroups — the 2CP25, 2CP32, and 2CP40 — which progressively step up in port size and flow capacity.

The 2CP25 uses 1¼” inlet and 1″ outlet ports, covering flows to 160 l/min at heads to 68 m; the 2CP32 steps to 1½” inlet and 1¼” outlet, reaching flows to 250 l/min and heads to 112 m; and the 2CP40 accommodates the highest flow models with 2″ inlet connections.

Impellers are brass across most models (stainless AISI 304 on the 2CP25/130 only).

Maximum working pressure is 10 bar across the 2CP32 and 2CP40 range, and the 2CP is certified for firefighting duty — a specification the CP and CR multistage series do not carry.

Pedrollo 2–4CP multistage centrifugal pump — compact cast iron, domestic pressure boosting and garden irrigation

The Pedrollo 2–4CP is a compact horizontal multistage centrifugal pump designed for clean water duties in domestic and light civil applications — including pressure boosting in conjunction with pressure tanks, garden and smallholding irrigation, and household water distribution.

The number prefix indicates the stage count: 2CP, 3CP, and 4CP models run the same flow envelope at progressively higher heads, from 27 m on the 2CP80 to 52 m on the 4CP100, allowing precise selection based on the head requirement of the specific installation.

The pump body is cast iron with an epoxy electro-coating treatment for internal corrosion resistance, with a stainless steel AISI 304 backplate.

Impellers and diffusers are manufactured from Noryl FE1520PW engineering polymer — durable, dimensionally stable, and suited to continuous clean water service.

All models use 1″ BSP threaded inlet and outlet ports, making the 2–4CP directly interchangeable with standard 1″ pipework and compatible with the widest range of pressure vessel and controller accessories.

Single-phase (CPm) and t

Pedrollo 2–5CR multistage centrifugal pump — full stainless steel construction for potable water, pressure systems, and corrosive environments

The Pedrollo 2–5CR covers the same flow profile as the 2–4CP — up to 130 l/min — but is constructed throughout in stainless steel AISI 304 for both the pump body and cover, making it the correct specification for potable water systems, food-adjacent applications, coastal or humid installations, and any duty where the cast iron and epoxy-coated body of the CP series would be inadequate.

The stainless construction also permits a higher liquid temperature ceiling of +60°C, compared with +40°C on the 2–4CP, extending the CR’s suitability for warm-water recirculation and lightly heated process duties. The range extends to five stage counts — 2CR, 3CR, 4CR, and 5CR — with 80- and 100-frame sizes providing heads from 27 m (2CR80) to 67 m (5CR80), at powers of 0.30–0.90 kW. Working pressure is rated at 7 bar, marginally higher than the CP’s 6 bar.All models share 1″ BSP threaded ports, ensuring the same pipework compatibility as the 2–4CP series. Impellers are AISI 304 stainless steel; diffusers are Noryl with anti-wear rings. The CR series is the preferred multistage pump specification for South African residential complexes, estate water supply, and potable water pressure boosting, where material integrity and long service life are priorities.

Pedrollo F series — EN 733 standardised flanged centrifugal pumps for industrial, agricultural, civil, and firefighting applications

The Pedrollo F series is a range of close-coupled, end-suction centrifugal pumps with flanged connections, engineered and dimensioned to the EN 733 (DIN 24255) international standard.

This standardisation is a defining feature of the range: hydraulic end dimensions are interchangeable with any other EN 733-compliant pump, allowing direct drop-in replacement without pipework modification.

The F series spans six outlet port sizes — F32 through F100 — at motor ratings from 1.5 kW to 75 kW, covering flow rates from 100 l/min to 5,750 l/min and heads up to 98 m.

All models are three-phase (with selected single-phase variants at smaller frame sizes), rated IP55, and equipped with IE3 energy-efficiency motors that are inverter-compatible throughout.

Pedrollo F series — close-coupled EN 733 flanged centrifugal pump: what the standard means for buyers and specifiers

When engineers, contractors, or maintenance buyers search for a “Pedrollo F-series pump” or a “Pedrollo F32”, “F50”, or “F100 pump”, they are typically looking for a drop-in replacement or a new installation requiring a standard, interchangeable flanged end-suction pump.

The EN 733 standard — which superseded DIN 24255 — governs the hydraulic end dimensions, flange face-to-face measurements, and shaft centreline heights of end-suction centrifugal pumps globally.

Every Pedrollo F-series pump is manufactured to these dimensions, meaning that an F50/160 can be removed from its baseplate and replaced with any other EN 733-compliant F50/160-equivalent from any manufacturer, with no pipework changes required.

This interchangeability is the principal reason the F series is specified for industrial plant rooms, commercial building services, municipal water supply, firefighting pump sets, and large-scale irrigation headers where long-term maintainability, parts availability, and supplier independence are engineering priorities.

The F series is supplied in South Africa by Innovative Product Development International CC (IPDI), with distribution, technical support, and spares from offices in Durban, Johannesburg, and Cape Town. Contact IPDI on 083 776 7836 to confirm model availability and current stock before specifying.
