Pedrollo NGAM 1B

Description

The Pedrollo NGA series features an open impeller design — a fundamentally different approach from standard closed-impeller centrifugal pumps. The open impeller has no front shroud, creating a wide clearance between the impeller vanes and the pump casing. This allows the pump to handle impurity-laden fluids, suspended solids, fibrous materials, and liquids that would clog a standard closed impeller. NGA pumps are the correct specification for drawing from channels, rivers, irrigation canals, agricultural tanks and basins, effluent ponds, and any source containing particulate matter.

The NGAM 1B at 0.55kW is the entry single-phase model in the NGA 1 sub-range. The NGA 1 series delivers up to 400 l/min (24 m³/h) at a maximum head of 20.5m — a flow and head profile suited to agricultural irrigation, small-scale flood drainage, channel transfer, and light industrial effluent handling. Suspended solids up to 12mm in diameter can pass through the NGA 1 without clogging.

The AISI 316 stainless steel open impeller (from January 2024) provides corrosion resistance to mildly aggressive water, agricultural chemicals, and treated irrigation water. The cast iron body with cataphoresis treatment and AISI 304 stainless steel cover complete the wetted path. For applications requiring all-wetted-parts AISI 316L construction, the PRO-NGAM 1A (PED 4465) is the correct specification.

IE2 single-phase motor, class F insulation, IPX4 weatherproof protection, integrated thermal cutout. Max pressure 6 bar. Suction head up to 7m. Ports: 1½” BSP. For three-phase supply, the NGA 1B (PED 4550) provides IE3 efficiency.
