Description

The Pedrollo VX series is a range of cast iron submersible vortex pumps for dirty water, sewage, and drainage containing suspended solids. The VORTEX impeller design creates a rotating liquid column that carries solids through the pump without direct impeller contact — preventing clogging and allowing reliable operation with wastewater, sewage, surface water with grit, and sludge-mixed water. The VX series is a step up from the compact TOP Vortex range, with cast iron construction for heavier-duty fixed and semi-fixed installations.

The VX 10/35-1 S/T combines the three-phase VX 10/35 vortex pump with a separately mounted float switch and junction box for automatic level-controlled operation. This configuration is the standard specification for permanent commercial and industrial sump drainage systems where the pump must operate autonomously — starting when the water level rises and stopping when the sump empties.

The separate float switch provides independent level control, with the junction box providing a clean terminal connection point for the installation electrician. This is the correct supply format for permanent building services drainage installations on three-phase power.
