Description

The Pedrollo VX series is a range of cast iron submersible vortex pumps for dirty water, sewage, and drainage containing suspended solids. The VORTEX impeller design creates a rotating liquid column that carries solids through the pump without direct impeller contact — preventing clogging and allowing reliable operation with wastewater, sewage, surface water with grit, and sludge-mixed water. The VX series is a step up from the compact TOP Vortex range, with cast iron construction for heavier-duty fixed and semi-fixed installations.

The VXCM 15/50F is distinguished from the standard VXM 15/50 by its flanged discharge connection — the ‘F’ suffix indicating flanged outlet. This is the standard configuration for permanent wet well and sewer pump installations where the pump is suspended on guide rails and automatically couples to a flanged bend at the bottom of the well when lowered into position. This allows the pump to be raised for servicing without entering the wet well or disconnecting pipework.

At 1.1kW the VXCM 15/50F delivers 750 l/min maximum flow, 11.5m maximum head, and handles solids up to 50mm through a 2″ flanged connection. The VXC body (thick cast iron) provides enhanced robustness for permanent installation in demanding environments.
