Description

The Pedrollo JSW series is a range of self-priming jet pumps — one of the most widely recognised pump ranges in domestic and civil water supply worldwide. JSW pumps use an integrated ejector unit that creates a vacuum on the suction side, allowing the pump to draw water from depths of up to 9 metres below the pump and to handle suction lines that contain air or gas without losing prime. They are the standard specification for drawing from shallow wells, underground tanks, rivers, and any installation where the water source is below the pump.

The Pedrollo deepwell JSW series uses a two-pipe shallow well ejector system — a suction pipe drawing water from the source and a smaller return pipe feeding the ejector nozzle at depth. This two-pipe arrangement allows the pump to draw water effectively from greater depths and from wells where the water level fluctuates, extending the practical suction range beyond the standard single-pipe JSW configuration.

The JSW 3AH Deepwell at 2.2kW represents the absolute ceiling of the Pedrollo JSW self-priming pump range. With 97m maximum head and 160 l/min maximum flow, it handles the most demanding shallow well and underground source installations where water must be drawn from significant depth and delivered to substantial height.

The ‘H’ designation within the JSW 3 range indicates the high-head impeller configuration — the same body as the ‘M’ medium-head models but with an impeller optimised for maximum pressure output. At 97m, the JSW 3AH Deepwell approaches the performance of multi-stage pumps while retaining the JSW series’ self-priming advantage and ability to handle air-entrained suction conditions.

Specified for the most demanding shallow well domestic, agricultural, and commercial applications — tall buildings drawing from shallow wells, large agricultural properties with deep water tables requiring delivery to elevated storage, and any installation where the JSW 3AM’s 78m head is the limiting factor.
