Description
The Pedrollo JSW series is a range of self-priming jet pumps — one of the most widely recognised pump ranges in domestic and civil water supply worldwide. JSW pumps use an integrated ejector unit that creates a vacuum on the suction side, allowing the pump to draw water from depths of up to 9 metres below the pump and to handle suction lines that contain air or gas without losing prime. They are the standard specification for drawing from shallow wells, underground tanks, rivers, and any installation where the water source is below the pump.
The JSWM 2CX ‘With Holes’ variant refers to the ejector configuration — the holes (ports) on the ejector unit are open, allowing connection of two separate pipes: a suction pipe drawing water from the source, and a smaller ejector pipe returning a portion of the pumped water back down to the ejector nozzle at depth. This two-pipe shallow well system extends the effective suction range beyond what a single-pipe installation can achieve.
The two-pipe configuration is the correct specification for shallow wells where the static water level is at greater depth, or where suction conditions are more demanding than a single-pipe surface installation. The JSWM 2CX No Holes variant (PED 7617) is the single-pipe surface installation alternative — both use the same pump body and 0.75kW motor, differing only in ejector configuration.
At 0.75kW on 230V single-phase, the JSWM 2CX delivers a maximum flow of 70 l/min and maximum head of 54m. Cast iron pump body with cataphoresis treatment, stainless steel AISI 304 cover and impeller, Noryl ejector unit, AISI 431 motor shaft. IE2 motor with class F insulation, IPX4 protection, and integrated thermal cutout. Maximum suction head 9m. Maximum working pressure 6 bar.
