Pedrollo TOP 2 Vortex

Description

The Pedrollo TOP series is a range of compact submersible drainage pumps built from technopolymer — a robust engineering plastic that is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor submersible use. TOP series pumps are the standard domestic and civil specification for emergency drainage of flooded rooms, basements, and garages; emptying sumps; disposing of appliance wastewater; and general clear water drainage duties. Every TOP pump is supplied complete with a 5-metre power cable and float switch.

The TOP 2 Vortex uses a vortex-type impeller rather than the standard closed impeller of the clear water TOP series. The vortex design creates a rotating liquid column that carries solids through the pump without direct impeller contact — allowing it to handle suspended particles up to 25mm in diameter, light fibrous materials, and dirty or particle-laden water that would clog or damage the standard TOP range.

The TOP 2 Vortex delivers maximum flow of 170 l/min and maximum head of 7.6m at 0.37kW — lower than the clear water TOP 2 because the vortex impeller sacrifices some efficiency for solid handling capability. It can drain to 25mm from the floor.

Applications: dirty water drainage from building sites, garages with oil residue, light sewage, wash-down water with grit, surface water from unpaved areas, and any drainage duty where suspended solids or fibres are present. Temp up to +40°C. IP X8 protection.
