Description

The Pedrollo VX series is a range of cast iron submersible vortex pumps for dirty water, sewage, and drainage containing suspended solids. The VORTEX impeller design creates a rotating liquid column that carries solids through the pump without direct impeller contact — preventing clogging and allowing reliable operation with wastewater, sewage, surface water with grit, and sludge-mixed water. The VX series is a step up from the compact TOP Vortex range, with cast iron construction for heavier-duty fixed and semi-fixed installations.

The VXM 15/50 uses the larger /50 body — 2″ discharge port versus 1½” in the /35 models — allowing solids up to 50mm in diameter to pass through, compared to 40mm in the /35 models. This makes it suitable for sewage and wastewater containing larger solids, fibrous materials, and heavier contamination.

At 1.1kW and 750 l/min maximum flow, the VXM 15/50 delivers both the highest flow and highest solid-handling capability of any single-phase VX model. It is specified for permanent sewage drainage installations, septic tank and cesspit emptying, construction dewatering with large aggregate, underground car park drainage, and any duty requiring reliable submersible handling of heavy-contaminated water.

Cast iron body cataphoresis, AISI 304 VORTEX impeller, AISI 304 motor components, AISI 431 shaft. Double mechanical seal in oil chamber. 10m cable, float switch. Max depth 5m. Max temp +40°C. IP X8 protection.
