Description

The Pedrollo VX series is a range of cast iron submersible vortex pumps for dirty water, sewage, and drainage containing suspended solids. The VORTEX impeller design creates a rotating liquid column that carries solids through the pump without direct impeller contact — preventing clogging and allowing reliable operation with wastewater, sewage, surface water with grit, and sludge-mixed water. The VX series is a step up from the compact TOP Vortex range, with cast iron construction for heavier-duty fixed and semi-fixed installations.

The VXM 8/35 at 0.55kW is the lightest model in the VX cast iron vortex range. Maximum flow of 600 l/min and maximum head of 9m at 0.55kW. The /35 designation indicates 1½” discharge port and solids up to 40mm passage capability. Can be used in fixed installation (permanent submersible) or portable/semi-fixed configuration.

Applications include: basement and underground car park drainage, construction site dewatering, septic tank emptying, surface water drainage from yards and car wash stations, sump and pit drainage with dirty or sewage-contaminated water, and any drainage duty involving solids up to 40mm diameter.

Cast iron body cataphoresis, AISI 304 VORTEX impeller, AISI 304 base and motor components, AISI 431 shaft. Double mechanical seal in oil chamber. 5m cable, float switch. 230V single-phase, IP X8 protection. Max depth 5m. Max liquid temp +40°C.
